Book an appointment at Misrad HaPnim via the MyVisit app or website. Bring your Teudat Oleh, passport and any temporary ID you received at the airport. You will receive your Teudat Zehut the same day at the branch.

Why am I not receiving Israeli verification codes by SMS?

Accepted Answer

Common reasons include using a Kosher SIM which cannot receive SMS, typing your number with a leading zero when the system already shows +972, or being outside Israel without international roaming. Select the voice call option as an alternative.

How do I book a Misrad HaKlita appointment?

You can book via the MyVisit app, call the national hotline at *2994, or go in person to your local branch. If no appointments are available online, visiting in person is often the fastest way to get seen — staff have access to a manual calendar not visible on the app.

Can I collect both an Israeli pension and a pension from my home country?

Accepted Answer

In most cases yes, depending on your country of origin. Israel has social security agreements with many countries including the US and UK. However rules vary significantly — US Olim should be aware of the Windfall Elimination Provision which may reduce Social Security payments.

How many free Ulpan courses does an Oleh get?

Every Oleh is entitled to two government-subsidized Hebrew courses — a public Ulpan first (500 hours over 5 months, must begin within 18 months of Aliyah), followed by a private Ulpan voucher worth up to 7,500 NIS after completion.

What is the Misrad HaKlita Voucher Program?

Accepted Answer

The Voucher Program is a government benefit that covers up to 80% of the cost of professional training courses for new Olim, up to a maximum of 7,000 NIS. You must get Misrad HaKlita approval before signing up for any course — approval after the fact is not accepted.
