My name is Michael Elbaz — Founder of All About Aliyah, former Director of Aliyah for the City of Jerusalem, IDF veteran, Oleh, and licensed real estate agent.
Like most new Olim, I arrived with a dream and very little idea of what actually came next.
I waited in the wrong lines. I missed benefits I didn't know I had. I spent hours at Misrad HaPnim in one of the busiest city branches — when a quieter branch could have saved me an entire morning.
I joined the IDF at 27 — a process that was a battle within itself and one that nobody truly prepares you for.
Thank G-d, figuring it all out the hard way turned out to be a blessing. Later, while working as Director of Aliyah for the City of Jerusalem, every mistake I made became knowledge I could pass on to thousands of new Olim going through the same journey.
I saw incredible people making one of the biggest decisions of their lives — arriving in Israel full of excitement, but finding very little practical guidance for what came next.
There were plenty of organizations helping people decide to make Aliyah. There was far less helping them actually build a life here.
That gap is what I built All About Aliyah to fill.
But helping Olim through this process taught me something important:
Aliyah does not end when you land in Israel. That is when the real journey begins.
Where will you live? Which city fits your family? Which neighborhoods actually work? How do you navigate the Israeli system, avoid expensive mistakes, and build a future here?
That is why All About Aliyah is about more than paperwork. It is about understanding Israel — its cities, communities, opportunities, and the decisions that shape your new life.

After working in real estate and seeing firsthand how the process works, I realized the most valuable thing I could give Olim wasn't an agent — it was the knowledge to navigate it themselves.
